Gift Registry

Gift Registry – Some couples do not want to accept any gifts or flowers (and yes even money) especially for destination weddings or second marriages.

In our opinion, guests certainly do want to hand you a gift so they feel the joy of gifting you and allow them to communicate their love to you and pleasure in celebrating your marriage.

Either way, it is very common these days to include an information card of either option to guide your friends and family. This is so they don’t have to guess and try to figure out what is the acceptable form of gift you would like at your wedding.

Example 1:

“All that we ask from you is that you join in celebrating our special day with us. However, if you decide on a gift, a contribution to our Gift registry would be warmly appreciated.”

Example 2:

Your love, laughter, and company at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However if you wish to honour us with a gift, we have registered at the following store.

Example 3:

If you were thinking of giving a gift

to help us on our way,

a gift of cash towards our house

would really make our day.

However, if you prefer to purchase a gift,

have prepared a gift registry

for your convenience.

Example 4: “For the convenience of all our guests, we have registered atThe Gift Aisle. Should you wish to Honour us with a gift, we hope that this registry will make it more convenient for you to contribute towards something that you can be sure we will love.”

Example 5: “If you were thinking of giving a gift, a suggestion if we may…

A contribution towards our registry, would really make our day.

If a gift you would prefer, that’s more than ok,

feel free to surprise us in your own special way.”
