Bridal Shower Invitations
Bridal Shower Invitations – A shower or a kitchen tea is a formal ladies day event where the bride’s family and friends celebrate the bride-to-be and honor the future Mrs. It’s all about welcoming the bride into a new life of a married woman, and showering her with all the kitchen sets/appliances and plenty of recipes and advice!
When it comes to hosting this shower, whether it is hosted by the bride herself, her maid of honor or bridesmaids, the first thing to think about is invitations!
This event is so exciting for the bride as well as the guests, and invitations should reflect that along with the theme and the bride’s personality.
Does your bride prefer simplicity and the minimalist look? Or does she love to get glamorous and go all out? WalRay Invitations works with you to create your exact vision of invitations. From pink paper foiled invites to hot pink acrylic colors, a variety of matching envelopes and endless wax seals, design the most unique invitations that will make the ladies countdown every day leading up to the event.

Where do you start?
The first thing to think about is the theme of the bridal shower or kitchen tea. We have researched some of the best bridal shower themes. High-tea party, Bubbly Brunch, Coral-themed, Tropical-themed, Retro-themed, Slumber party and Disco boogie night. If you’re not digging a theme, that’s okay! Just do your own thing, spread some desserts and have a great time with your girls, whether it’s during the day or night. It’s all about spending that fun time with your lady friends and being showered with advice, recipes, and of course- gifts! Just make sure you give some sort of guidance to your guests in the invitation, as it will help guests prepare for the event to dress appropriately. It would also help avoiding being bombarded with questions.
When should bridal shower invitations be sent out?
Four to six weeks before the shower date. Make sure you purchase invitations a few weeks prior!
What to include on your bridal shower/kitchen tea invitations?
Usually the bridesmaids write the invitation for the bridal shower. However there is no rule, just make sure you order them with wording that introduces the bride-to-be in the 3rd person (see examples below!)
Besides the date, time, and place, make sure you also include some sort of guidance regarding gifts. If you’ve labeled your event as a kitchen tea, then you might want to have a gift registry of kitchen and home items that you may need when you get married. Otherwise some brides opt for a wishing well at their bridal shower, or simply allow the guests to gift you as they like. In that case you do not need to mention anything about gifts, unless you wanted something specific.
